(Pavillion, WY) – It was another tough outing for the Wind River Cougars last Saturday against the visiting Class 1-A Saratoga Panthers. The Cougars fell behind early 12-4 and never challenged in a 45-20 loss to the Panthers.
Wind River played without leading scorer Ford David, who suffered a knee injury earlier in the season.
The Cougars were led by Jeffrey Stock with 10 points, and Troy Tidzump with eight. They didn’t score from the free throw line in five attempts and missed all of their 3-point attempts.
The loss dropped Wind River to 0-16 on the season.
It doesn’t get any easier for the Cougars with the second and third-ranked teams in Class 2-A on the schedule for this Friday and Saturday.
Friday they host Wyoming Indian, then entertain Wright on Saturday.
