(Lander, WY) – Our Athlete of the Week, presented by Wyoming Catholic College is Lander Valley High School multi-sport athlete Adelyn Anderson.
The junior thrower for the LVHS track & field team has dominated all season. She concluded the year with best effort at state in Casper last Saturday. Adelyn broke the all-state class record in shot put throwing 49-7.75. That broke a mark from Bailey Gibson that stood for 15 years.
Anderson also set a new class 3A record in discus with a throw of 154-9. The junior was part of a fantastic overall effort by the LVHS ladies at state, winning their second consecutive state championship!
