(Shoshoni, WY) – Shoshoni High School junior wrestler Brody Shepard is our Athlete of the Week, presented by Wyoming Catholic College!
Shepard won the 2A 126lb state wrestling championship last weekend in Casper. He earned victory by pin four straight times to get to the championship showdown. In the title match, Shepard defeated Kemmerer’s Wyoming Miller. At the 3:47 mark, Shepard scored a take-down, put Miller on his back, then pinned him for the gold.
Brody shared the Fremont County spotlight with Wyoming Indian’s first ever state championship wrestler, Ben Niedo. Ben was our Athlete of the Week back in January.
