(Fremont County, WY) – While we transition between local sports seasons, we’ll be looking back over the next few weeks at some of the great fall performances.
This week, we’re spotlighting Riverton High School junior football athlete Hunter Saltsgaver as our Student of the Week, made possible by Wyoming Catholic College!
During Riverton’s 8-3 season, Saltsgaver rarely took a play off as the team’s running back, defensive back and kicker.
Hunter averaged 103 yards per game from his running back spot, tallying 1,129 total yards this season. He finished with 12 touchdowns rushing the ball, and 1 touchdown receiving the ball. Saltsgaver had 13 tackles this season in the RHS secondary, including one for a loss and recovered a fumble. He successfully kicked four field goals, including his season-long from 37 yards. He was 23/25 kicking extra points.
