(Fremont County, WY) – Our Athlete of the Week, made possible by Wyoming Catholic College is Lander Valley High School junior Katy Anderson!
Last Thursday, Anderson helped the Lander swimmers win the Riverton Quad. Anderson took first in all four of her events. Individually, she won the 100 yard butterfly by over five full seconds and the 100 yard backstroke by nearly four seconds.
Anderson was part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team, which also features Ella Giesmann, Emily Plaisted and Shyrone AneiShoyo. She was also part of the winning 200 yard medley relay with AneiShoyo, Daegan Reinhardt and Eden Kemp.
On Saturday, Lander met Jackson for a dual in the pool. Anderson competed in two different events, winning the 100 yard breaststroke by over four seconds and placing second in the 200 yard IM.
