(Ethete, WY) – Our Coach of the Month for March 2025 goes to Wyoming Indian’s girls basketball leader, Aleta Moss.
It’s no secret to hoops fans around the region that “Boss Moss” has had a long lasting impact on local high school sports. She is the winningest high school basketball coach in state history and has been overseeing the Lady Chiefs program now for 36 consecutive seasons.
Wyoming Indian concluded a 21 win season this year by qualifying for their 12th straight state tournament appearance.
While in Casper, Aleta and the Chiefs went 2-1, knocking off Pine Bluffs in a buzzer-beater thriller, beating Rocky Mountain in a physical 5 point decision and ultimately slipping to a very good Tongue River squad in the championship game, 61-47.
