Cyrus – Rhyne – Philleo State Champions

Three Fremont County Champions were crowned in the Class 2-A State Wrestling Tournament at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper last weekend. Sammie Cyrus of Dubois won at 106, Landon Rhyne of Wind River at 126 and Wiley Philleo of Shoshoni at 157 pounds.

Dubois senior Siler Hess was runner-up at 215 pounds.

Wind River’s Anthony Musalem was third at 285 along with Wyoming Indian’s Roland Burton who was sixth in the same division.

Shoshoni placed two more wrestlers with Brody Shepard taking fourth at 126 and Branson Thompson fifth at 120 pounds.

It was a tight team race with Moorcroft edging strong challenges from Kemmerer and Thermopolis. Wind River had the highest Fremont County finish with 67.5 points, finishing 10^th.
