(Wyoming) – Maybe it’s because we’re so used to covering long distances to get places, maybe our foot is heavier on the gas because of that rockin’ Chris LeDoux track we’re playing or it could be we’re late for Pokes kickoff. Whatever it is – a new study says Wyoming drivers cover long distances the fastest in the nation.
Website Money Super Market, gathered data used on SimpleMaps to find drivers who cover long distances the fastest not only in the United States, but all over the world. The United States also ranks number one with fastest drivers on the planet. (We’re not sure about other planets, data only was provided for Earth.)
The data said Wyoming covers long distances by driving an average of 71.8mph. New Mexico and Idaho were just behind us at 71 mph and 70.5mph. Canada and Oman ranked just after the United States in fastest driving countries.
Meanwhile, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maryland rank as the slowest drivers to cover long distances in the U.S. Malta and Mauritania have the lowest driving speeds by country at just over 14mph.
