As the seasons change, it’s time for a change at County 10 News. I’ve been at the helm for the last five years, and County 10 has become like my child. I’ve watched it grow and blossom over the years, and now it’s ready for the next chapter.
I’ve been reflecting a lot on my time at County 10 as I prepare to depart. Like all new parents, mistakes were made, there were tears, there was laughter, milestones were hit, and, well, you get the picture. No one said the path would be easy.
All that aside, I hope I impacted at least one person out there because you all affected me. One of my favorite things is to hear somebody from the community say, “I love County 10.” Or to see a car with one of our stickers on it. At the end of the day, all I wanted to do was fulfill our mission of connecting the community.
To the keyboard warriors who are the first to point out a mistake, thank you for always making sure we are correct. We never intentionally make mistakes, but we are human. To the tipsters who send us community events, photos, and happenings, thank you for letting us be a part of your story. Please don’t stop sending them in.
We always strive to find better ways of serving you, our community. We sought feedback to improve our news feed and curate what we shared based on what you wanted to read. Change isn’t always easy, but we take what you say to heart—the good and the critical.
As I take these next steps in life, I want to thank you for the last five years. It’s been a memorable ride. One I’ll never forget. I leave you in great, capable hands, who I will miss very much.
