One Teton Therapy Lander patient is savoring the sweet taste of victory. Harold “Herb the Candy Man” H. won $50 in the Lander clinic’s weekly drawing, part of Teton Therapy’s “December to Remember” promotion, happening in both Lander and Riverton. By attending all of his scheduled appointments, Herb earned his entry – and his big win!
“Herb is a very motivated patient,” says Sandra Vanatta, PTA at Teton Therapy’s Lander clinic. “He constantly pushes himself in treatment and makes it a point to put a smile on everyone’s face.” The admiration is mutual. “Everybody at Teton Therapy is so friendly, and they’re all great therapists,” Herb says. “They teach you how to take care of yourself.”
Herb is also famous for his seemingly endless supply of “health food” – bite-sized candies from his ever-present candy bag. “When candy’s on sale, I stock up on everyone’s favorites,” he says, sharing them everywhere from Safeway to the casino.
Does the candy help him win at the casino? “No,” Herb jokes, “but it helped me win here!”
