The City of Lander, in partnership with the Lander Climate Action Network, is launching a community-wide effort to encourage residents to report streetlight outages throughout October. As we prepare for the longer, darker days of winter, it’s important to ensure our neighborhoods are well-lit and safe.
Reporting a streetlight outage is quick and simple! Just visit rockymountainpower.net, click on the “Outages & Safety” tab, and select “Streetlight Outages” from the side menu. From there, you’ll need the approximate address of the streetlight, and if possible, the pole number. The pole number is typically marked in black and yellow near eye level on the pole—snap a quick picture for easy reference when filling out the short form. If you encounter any issues, feel free to call City Hall at 332-2870 x113 to report the outage. Since repairs are made during daylight hours, providing accurate information ensures the right streetlight is fixed promptly.

If you spot one that’s out, cycling on and off, staying on during the day, or has a damaged globe, please report it. Our goal is to have these issues fixed before winter’s long nights begin.”
