Its 2025 season opened with the world premiere of a jazz string trio and followed with the first-ever performance of live jazz in Dubois.
Next Sunday, Dubois Chamber Music ends its season with the return of Jackson Hole Chamber Music performers playing a newly composed string quartet called “Quartet in the Key of Blue” by 40-year-old composer (and violist) Stefan L. Smith.
The program, offered by professional musicians from throughout the United States, also
includes a Beethoven string quartet and selections from Bach’s first cello suite.
This is the fifth year that Dubois Chamber Music has brought musicians over Togwotee Pass as part of Jackson Hole Chamber Music’s annual season, allowing Fremont County residents to hear the best of live classical music performance without traveling to Jackson.
The concert will take place at the Dennison Lodge on Sunday, September 28, at 3 PM.
Tickets cost $20 (or $15 for those under age 18 or over age 65), available online at the Dubois Chamber Music website or at the door before the performance.
Dubois Chamber Music is a 501c3 nonprofit and all ticket proceeds are used to defray costs of the concerts. Its programs are supported in part by grants from the Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, a program of the Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources, and from the Wyoming Arts Council, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and the
Wyoming Legislature.
