Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Ava Jory was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Bev Hawkins.
Junior Ava Jory is an active DHS student, participating in NHS, student council, volleyball (awarded All-Conference and All-State), and track. Social Studies teacher Bev Hawkins states, “I am a bit biased about Ava as I am fortunate to spend a great deal of time with her. Ava is determined and passionate about everything she sets her mind to. Ava works hard and never lets down, whether she’s in the classroom, on the court, or on a snowmobile. Ava will conquer any hurdles along life’s path.”
Ava plans to play college volleyball while pursuing a career in pediatric healthcare.
