Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Daisy Burnett was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Tim Reese.
Sophomore Daisy, nominated by art teacher Mr. Reese, “is an all-around great student to have in my class. She is dedicated to excelling in the work that she does while maintaining a positive attitude and sense of humor. She demonstrates compassion and empathy towards others and in doing so, lifts up those around her. A true gem!”
Daisy is active at DHS, participating in volleyball, track, student council, and National Honor Society. Outside of school, she plays club volleyball, sings, and plays the guitar. Following high school, Daisy plans to attend college and become an elementary teacher.
