Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Jonah Witonski was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Tad Romsa.
Principal Romsa says of Witonski, “Jonah is a conscientious student who puts forth every effort to be his best. He is a friend to all and a natural leader.”
Jonah participates basketball, track, and trap shooting. His favorite class is engineering, where he can express his creativity in the lab. Outside of school he enjoys hunting, fishing, and hiking. Jonah’s role model is his dad. After graduation, Jonah plans to attend CWC for an Associate’s degree, and then finish at a four year college through the Navy ROTC program. Ultimately, his goal is to be a pilot in the Navy.
