Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Katie Pluhar was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Karen Chandler.
Katie is a junior nominated by school counselor Karen Chandler and principal Tad Romsa. Katie is a hardworking, kind student, who can be counted in every class to turn in exceptional work. Each of her teachers agree that she is a strong group member, includes everyone, makes sure every one is heard, and brings out the positives in any group she is in. Her work is described as creative, thorough, and deep.
Katie works as the Rams wresting team manager, and enjoys riding horses, doing crafts, and baking. She hopes to go on to college, and potentially participate in a mission after high school.
