Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Katie Pluhar was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Kyle Botkin.
Math teacher Mr. Botkin says, "Katie comes to class each day prepared to work hard and learn something new. She is friendly and respectful, always willing to help her peers and contribute her thoughts to class. Though quiet, she is always listening and knows when to let her personality and humor come out. She exemplifies the qualities of a student ready to succeed after high school."
A senior this year, Katie has worked as a football and wrestling manager. She enjoys riding horses and making bracelets. After high school Katie plans to attend Brigham-Young University.
