Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Mia Chandler was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Bev Hawkins.
“Mia is an outstanding student and an exceptional person. She is engaged, hardworking, and provides insightful thoughts and comments during classroom discussions. Mia understands the bigger picture and is a well-round individual. She supports and advocates for those whose voices may not be heard. Mia will jump in and do just about anything with a smile.” ~ Mrs. Hawkins.
Mia enjoys the outdoors and will actively participate in any adventure – skiing, rock climbing, hiking, and rock hunting. She is in student council, NHS, and volleyball. After high school, she will attend UW to study geology.
