Each week, staff at Dubois High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Zander Hawkins was nominated as the Dubois High School student of the week by Tim Reese.
“Zander is able to focus on the tasks he needs to complete as soon as the bell rings, and takes ownership of understanding what the expectations of the projects are. This habit of taking initiative of his own learning is a refreshing thing to see. On top of that, he challenges himself in going beyond the simplest creative solution, which pushes him to grow in his abilities.”~Art teacher Tim Reese.
Zander is a junior who is active in football, track, golf, STUCO, and NHS. After high school he plans to go on a mission and work to become a certified golf instructor.
Jake Hawkins and Bev Hawkins are the proud parents of Zander.
