The spirit of the Wild West gallops into Dubois this July 26th and 27th. The Dubois Chamber of Commerce, along with chamber partners have wrangled up a weekend packed with events celebrating the region’s rich Western heritage.
Friday Night Lights
The festivities kick off Friday evening with the classic thrills of the Dubois Friday Night Rodeo. Watch cowboys and cowgirls showcase their grit and skill in traditional rodeo events. Later that night, head on over to The Rustic Pine Tavern for a free performance by the Dubois Western Activities Association’s Outside Circle Show, the authentic sounds of working cowboy music, a cornerstone of Western life.
Celebrating National Day of the Cowboy on Saturday
Get ready for some Saturday morning adventure at the Second Annual Wind River Wild Ride, hosted by Grant Scheer and Wyoming Mercantile in the Town Park. Details on this exciting event are still under wraps, but one thing’s for sure – it promises a thrilling ride.
The Main Event: Wild West Brewfest
The heart of the weekend kicks off at noon on Saturday with the ever-popular Wild West Brewfest. Held in the scenic Town Park, the Brewfest lets you sample a wide range of craft beers from Wyoming’s finest breweries. Food trucks will keep your hunger at bay, while local vendors offer unique finds. Enjoy this annual event from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m.
Tickets are $30 at the gate or $25 for Early Bird Tickets available at The Rustic Pine Tavern.
Meet the Author:
J.B. Zielke, author of “The Lost Cowboy,” will be at the Brewfest throughout the day. This Saratoga native will be signing copies of his book, which chronicles his fascinating journey as a cowboy across six continents.
Double Dose of Western Entertainment:
The spirit of the Wild West continues into Saturday evening with a second performance by the Outside Circle Show. Let the music transport you back to a simpler time, when the cowboy code held sway.
