The Dubois Town Council passed a new ordinance on first reading last week limiting the number of short-term rental properties allowed in town.
City code currently states that “no person shall operate or maintain a short-term rental within the town without first obtaining an annual special use permit for each residential occupancy unit rented separately.”
Ordinance No. 453 would amend the code to add the following sentence: “No more than 25 permits for short-term lodging units shall be issued at any one time by the Town of Dubois.”
