Dubois School Board to consider approving handbooks, policies during work session meeting Tuesday

(Dubois, WY) – The Fremont County School District 2 Board of Trustees will hold a work session meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the Board Room at the District Administration Building, 700 N. First St. in Dubois.

The agenda for the meeting includes six items for discussion:

• review elementary handbook
• review 6-12 handbook
• review activities handbook
• review board policies
• review revisions and amendments to the concealed carry policy for staff and volunteers

There are also six action items on the agenda:

• approve the activities handbook
• approve the 6-12 handbook pending policy updates
• approve the elementary handbook pending policy updates
• approve the employee handbook
• approve the second reading of board policies regarding student absences, high school absences, student dress, use of cell phones and other electronics, and absences and excuses
• approve to adopt the concealed carry policy

The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the district’s Facebook page, where past meeting recordings are available.
