(Dubois, WY) – The Fremont County School District 2 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the Board Room at the District Administration Building, 700 N. First St. in Dubois.
The agenda includes a review of the adult education budget.
Under action items, the board will consider approving salary schedules and budgets for the 2027 school year, then consider approving the adult ed mill levy at two mills.
The two mill levy is a half mill under the permissible limit established in state statute, but the agenda notes that the initial 2007 ballot approved by the district’s majority of voters was for two mills.
“This two mill limit has served well throughout the history of the levy,” the agenda states.
The levy was previously set at 1.5 mills, according to the agenda, which indicates that the school district “is anticipating vast enhancements to the adult education program in the coming year.”
Other action items on the agenda include:
- approve board policy GDQC: Retirement of Support Staff on second reading
- hiring adult education summer employees and certified staff
