It was a challenging and remarkable season for the Dubois Lady Rams on the volleyball court this fall. Dubois rolled to a 7-0 Northwest 1-A conference mark before falling in their final league game at Burlington. They tied the Lady Huskies but lost the tie breaker and were seeded second in the West 1-A Regional Tournament held last week at Lander.
The Lady Rams emerged as the fourth-place seed from the west and opened the All-Class Wyoming State Volleyball Tournament, held on the packed floor of the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper last Thursday afternoon.
Dubois opened with East 1-A Champion Hulett and dropped three games, 25-22, 25-14, and 25-17, sending them to the consolation bracket. Hullet fell to eventual state 1-A champion Cokeville in the semi-finals in four games. The Lady Red Devils finished fourth in the tournament.
The loss dropped the Lady Rams into another 1 p.m. game on Friday, this time with the third-seeded Southeast Lady Cyclones. Southeast opened the tournament with a scrappy five-game match against Cokeville. Cokeville took the match 25-20, 16-25, 25-21, 15-25 and finally won in the 15-point game 15-10.

The Lady Rams fell behind 2-0, losing the first two games 25-13, 25-16, but rallied in game three to beat Southeast 25-21. The Lady Cyclones took the fourth game of the match 25-16, ending the Dubois season.
Dubois is one of the smallest schools in the state, with an enrollment of around 42 students in grades nine through 12.
Senior Kenzy Day had a milestone this season with 1,500 assists in her four-year career and finished with 2,000 at the state tournament.
The Lady Rams wore pink uniforms on Friday in honor of their coach, Katrina Dingman, who is battling breast cancer. The entire High Country has rallied around coach Dingman this season.
Dingman displayed grit and determination above and beyond the pale at the state tournament, coaching her team on Thursday just two days after a chemotherapy infusion in Jackson.
