(Dubois, WY) – The Dubois Town Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, in the Council Chambers at Dubois Town Hall, 712 Meckem Street.
The agenda includes a public hearing for a child care facility renewal for Little Lambs Child Care.
The council will consider approving the daycare renewal application later in the meeting.
Another public hearing will be held Wednesday regarding special use permits – short-term rentals.
The council will consider approving 25 short-term rental renewal applications later in the meeting.
During the regular meeting, the council will discuss the value engineering aspect of the Rodeo Ground Bridge Repair project, to include the possibility of awarding the project to Ridgeline Excavation.
The agenda indicates that a final contract price will be provided prior to action.
The council will consider awarding the project contract to Ridgeline Excavation later in the meeting.
The council will also consider approving a business license as applied for by CR Horseback Adventures LLC for trail rides off private property adjacent to McKinley Drive, utilizing the trails on the Overlook.
There is one first-reading ordinance on the agenda amending the town code to change the title of the Town Marshal to Chief of Police/Town Marshal.
The council will also consider a resolution to place the question of a three-quarter percent sales and use tax for economic development on the 2026 primary election ballot to exclusively support ground ambulance, commercial air service, and public ground transportation.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- consider ratifying the mayor’s appointment of Robert Latapie at Dubois Police Chief
- consider approving a special event permit application for the Fourth of July Parade
- consider authorizing the official voting delegate and alternate voting delegate to the Wyoming Association of Municipalities business meeting in June
- consider approving the renewal of the sanitation agreement with Luke Sander for Pete’s Pond Comfort Station for $3,400 for a one-year term
- consider approving Tourism Asset Development grant applications from the Dubois Chamber of Commerce, Dubois Rodeo Association, and Never Sweat Needlers
- consider awarding the WWTP Improvements Project to Strobel Energy Group
- consider approving a formal Notification of Intent to Terminate Agreement and Transfer Restricted funds for Dubois Volunteers Inc.
