(Dubois, WY) – The Dubois Town Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 10, in the Council Chambers at Dubois Town Hall, 712 Meckem Street.
The agenda includes progress reports from the following economic development tax recipients: Wind River Valley Artists Guild, Wilderness Flower Company, and Betty the Black Brew Bus.
The council will also consider accepting a donation of a grand piano from the Wind River Valley Artists Guild.
The Wind River Valley Artists Guild is listed in the second action item on the agenda as well, referencing a lease agreement of 2017 between the Guild and the Town of Dubois.
“The WRVAG has indicated that no payment will be made to the Town to cover the costs of cleaning and making repairs to the portion of the Headwaters Community Arts and Conference Center (Headwaters) they rented (upstairs) pursuant to the vacation of the facility,” the agenda item states. “They are requesting payment to them from the funds received from the Forest Service paid to the Headwaters board for use of the facility during the 2024 Fish Creek/Pack Trail fires as they cancelled events and closed during that time.”
The council will consider agreeing to the requests.
The council will also consider approving a $2,500 Tourism Asset Development grant application from the Dubois Chamber of Commerce to support advertising for the 2025 Dubois Cowboy Christmas.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- consider approving and authorizing submission of the F66 Report to the State of Wyoming Department of Audit
- consider approving a Temporary Catering Permit for Off the Grid Outdoors (Rustic Pine Tavern) for a Sept. 13 memorial at the Dennison Lodge
- consider approving accounts payable
- consider approving TAD Fund payments
An executive session will be held before adjournment.
