The City of Lander has announced an update in the fuel leak situation affecting the Popo Agie River in downtown Lander.
Per a City of Lander Facebook post, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is planning to begin construction of a concrete cut-off wall to reduce gasoline products that are making it to the river.
The Maverik gas station located next to the issue is assisting the EPA with a dye test to help determine the source of the fuel leak.
Neither the EPA or Department of Environmental Quality has been able to officially confirm the source of the fuel leak, but they continue to investigate the fueling station adjacent to the issue.
Maverik fuel pumps were shut off Sunday, but the store remains open.
