(Fremont County, WY) – At approximately 3:58 PM on June 12, firefighters were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the area of 190 South Fork Road and Rose Lane, the Fremont County Fire Protection District recently shared in a release.
Prior to the arrival of emergency responders, two occupants were removed from the structure by bystanders. The condition of the patients is unknown at this time.
Fort Washakie Fire Battalion-12, located in close proximity to the incident, responded immediately following the initial dispatch and initiated aggressive fire suppression efforts upon arrival.
Upon arrival of additional resources, firefighters found the structure heavily involved with fire and worked to contain the fire while preventing extension to surrounding exposures.
Resources from Central Fire Battalion-1, Lander Rural Fire Battalion-3, Morton-Kinnear Fire Battalion-5, and Fort Washakie Fire Battalion-12 responded to the incident. Additional assistance was provided by EMS and law enforcement personnel.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No firefighter injuries have been reported.
