(Riverton, WY) – The Fremont County Dispatch Center received a 911 call at around 0358 hours on Saturday, August 23rd, indicating that a male had been stabbed in the 100 Block of Honor Farm Road.
FCSO Deputies and Officers from the Riverton Police Department responded to the scene and contacted a group of juveniles on the side of Honor Farm Road.
One juvenile male was unconscious and had an apparent stab wound. Law Enforcement and EMS personnel engaged in medical aid but their efforts were unsuccessful and the juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigation revealed that a large group of males that were familiar with each other, had been involved in a physical altercation that resulted in the juvenile being fatally stabbed.
The suspect and several of the involved parties had already fled from the scene prior to the arrival of Law Enforcement. There are no suspects in custody at this time. It appears that this incident was specific to the individuals involved and not a random act.
