(Fort Washakie, WY) – Filing is open through Sept. 17 for seats on the Northern Arapaho Business Council, the Northern Arapaho Tribal Committee, and Northern Arapaho Economic Development Commission.
Any enrolled member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe wishing to run must file a written notice of intent to seek election with the Business Council secretary by Sept. 17. (Notices filed by mail must be postmarked no later than Sept. 17, 2026.)
The 2026 Letter of Intent to File/Filing Petition for Election is available at the Northern Arapaho Tribal secretary’s office in the Aspen Room at the Wind River Casino.
Candidates must fill out the form to begin the filing process, and a filing fee of $150 must accompany the Notice of Intent to seek election.
The filling fee must be paid by cash, money order, or cashier’s check; personal checks will not be accepted.
Please do not mail cash, as officials cannot be responsible for the cash lost in the mail.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and qualify under the tribe’s election laws to run.
