(Lander, WY)– The Washakie Ranger District of the Shoshone National Forest is happy to offer decked lumber for personal use with a Shoshone National Forest fuel wood permit.
These decks are located along the Worthen Meadows Road and into an old timber sale area. Please take the logs along the road prior to heading back into the sale area. These decks were originally cut for lumber trucks and the logs are full length so a reminder that fuel wood permits only allow logs of 8-feet or less to be removed. This means one will still have to buck the logs into the appropriate lengths prior to leaving the area.
