According to the Wyoming Department of Health’s COVID-19 website, a COVID-19 case has been reported in Natrona County.
Casper-Natrona County Department of Health public information officer Hailey Bloom confirmed in a call to Oil City News that there is a confirmed case of coronavirus now in Natrona County.
Bloom said she had no other details as of Friday evening concerning the gender, age or circumstances of the patient. She said the investigation was ongoing and expected more information to be available by Monday.
Spokespersons for both the Wyoming Department of Health and the Wyoming Medical Center said on Friday evening they had no further details on the case at this time.
This is the 22nd case reported statewide.
As of 3pm Friday, the State of Wyoming was reporting 366 tests had been administered among testing sites that included the Wyoming Public Health Lab (334), the CDC (1) and “commercial labs” (31). A total of 22 cases have been confirmed.
Earlier this evening, Governor Mark Gordon’s office issued an order restricting gatherings of 10 or more people in a single space.
This order supplements a March 19 statewide order that closed bars, restaurants, theaters, gymnasiums, some child care facilities and schools. Both orders remain in effect until April 3rd,” according to a press release sent by the Governor’s office.
