(Fremont County, WY) – Last week, Fremont County 4-H hosted a dynamic three-day long workshop called “Threads of Confidence.”
The idea was the empower 8-14 year-olds by exploring body image, media influence and healthy self-talk.
Participants learned about embracing their own unique style and were encouraged to participate in a “confidence boosting project” by sewing their own clothes. The program encouraged positive body image, celebrating individuality and equipping local youth with lifelong tools for self-confidence and resilience.
Several volunteer leaders from the community helped coordinate the event with 4-H educator Tanya Santee. Nearly 20 Fremont County kids participated in the event.
