Fremont County Commissioners share March 11 meeting recap

(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commission convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 11, and have shared the following recap of that meeting.

• An addendum to the contract between Fremont County and JR Project Management LLC, dated January 23, 2024, was approved to expire March 23, 2025, and to re-authorize an additional $7,500 from LATC funds for February and March 2025 services.
• A release and settlement agreement between Leigh A. Fairhead “trustee” and Fremont County was approved in the amount of $7,500 for use and access on property located on east fork road during construction of a bridge with funding through 1 percent funds.
• The 2025 Fremont County government sandbag policy was approved.
• The renewal retail liquor license for Rezeride, Inc. d/b/a Rezeride Roadhouse was approved for the license year April 15, 2025, through April 14, 2026, based upon satisfactory filing of annual corporation papers through the secretary of state’s office.
• The board will continue their commitment to transparency for meetings by researching the model used by the Wyoming State Legislature for online accessibility and making every effort to address security breaches as they develop their model.

The meeting recap also included the following memo to employees.

• Commission meeting update: There is no live streaming at this time until further notice. The meetings will be taped and available on YouTube the day following the meeting.
• Elected officials/department heads meeting: Special meeting – Monday, March 24, 2025 – 1:30 p.m. – County Commission Chambers.
• Snow reminder: Please move county vehicles out of the courthouse parking lots when snow is expected overnight. Parking is available in the ambulance parking lot (310 N. First Street). This is also recommended for county vehicles not in use on a daily basis.
