All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Fremont County, WY) – The scheduled August 8 jury trial for Ezekiel Ute, aka Zeke, has been vacated following a change of plea hearing conducted on July 15, before the Honorable Judge Kelly H Rankin.
Ute faces a second degree murder charge in relation to the January 2 stabbing and homicide of Lawrence Oldman III.
Federal Court documents filed on July 15 state that Ute changed his plea to “guilty,” as per stipulations made in a non-public plea agreement filed on June 28.
A sentencing hearing has been set for October 7.
