All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Fremont County, WY) – Conrad Tillman pled “not guilty” to the three charges filed against him at his arraignment hearing held today, June 10, in relation to the April 14 homicide that resulted in the death of 36-year-old Utahnna BearComesOut (aka Tillman).
The hearing was held before the Honorable Judge Teresa McKee.
Tillman was charged with first degree murder, discharging and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence, and use of a firearm causing murder.
(Tillman was originally charged with second degree murder, but that charge was upgraded in a federal indictment filed on May 16.)
Tillman faces these charges after reportedly pointing and shooting a gun at BearComesOut from point blank range during an argument the two had while driving in a vehicle that had a child occupant.
When law enforcement later questioned Tillman, he claimed that BearComesOut hit him “multiple times, almost causing the vehicle to crash,” while they were driving at 60 mph, but the responding officer “did not observe any wounds or bruising on Tillman” upon later investigating the scene.
Tillman remains detained at this time, and a jury trial has been scheduled for August 12.
