Community Health Centers of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) and Fremont County Pediatrics (FCP) are merging, combining the pediatric care for which FCP is known with the largest Federally Qualified Health Center in Wyoming.
From April 1 forward, the practice of pediatricians Richard Barnes, MD and Mary Barnes, D.O. will continue operating as a new access location of CHCCW.
“I have dreamed of the ability to limit wintertime travel for families by offering services closer to home, financial assistance for qualifying families with high deductible insurance… [and] the ability to seamlessly provide care from childhood into adulthood within the organization,” said Richard Barnes, M.D. “Providing a smooth transition of care while not changing providers or doctors for the 800-1000 patients we see every month had to be seamless, and we have tried our best to assure that our patients will not even notice as the doctors won’t change, the front desk staff and nurses won’t change, the locations won’t change, and the phone numbers won’t change.”
Fremont County patients will continue to receive care from Dr. and Dr. Barnes at the same 704 E. Fremont location in Riverton and Wyoming Street location in Lander. While Dr. Richard and Dr. Mary Barnes have managed FCP since 1996, the practice has served families in Fremont County for more than 50 years.
