Fremont County Treasurer Tom Majdic is warning that many residents have received a letter about their property taxes, saying they were delinquent or in danger of being sold at a tax sale. These letters did NOT originate from the Treasurer’s office.

Recently several property owners in Fremont County received letters that their property taxes were delinquent and in danger of being sold at a tax sale. These letters did not originate from the Fremont County Treasurer’s Office or any other Fremont County Government Office. From numerous phone calls received by the Treasurer’s Office and the Assessor’s Office, these letters were incorrect in a majority of the calls. If you receive a letter regarding unpaid property taxes for property located in Fremont County, then you are urged to contact the Fremont County Treasurer’s Office at (307)332-1104 or visit the Treasurer’s website at www.fremontcountywy.org/treasurer/property-taxes.
