The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services released data this week about September unemployment numbers.
Wyoming’s overall unemployment rate increased from 3.9% in August to 4.1% in September.
Wyoming’s unemployment rate was unchanged from its year-ago level of 4.1% and slightly higher than the current U.S. unemployment rate of 3.7%.
In Fremont County specifically, unemployment numbers fell from 4.7% in August to 4.5% in September. Data suggests there are 41 fewer unemployed people across the county.
Fremont and Natrona County tie for highest unemployment in the state, both at 4.5%. The lowest rates are in Teton County at 2.2%, Crook County at 2.9%, and Goshen County at 3.0%.
