The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services released data Tuesday morning on March unemployment numbers.
Overall, Wyoming’s unemployment rate fell from 3.9% to 3.7% from February 2019 to March 2019. Wyoming’s unemployment rate was slightly lower than the national rate of 3.8%.
While Fremont County has the third-highest unemployment rate in the state, it did fall from 5.1% in February to 4.7% in March. That number is significantly down from one year ago, when it was at 5.9% in March 2018.
Additionally, Fremont County’s overall labor force rose by 211 people from February to March.
The state’s highest unemployment rates were in Washakie County at 4.9% and Park County at 4.8%.
The state’s lowest unemployment rate is Teton County at 2.4%, followed by Niobrara and Albany County which are both at 2.9%.
