(Fremont County, WY)- The warmth and resilience of the Fremont County community were on full display during last months Guns, Boots, and Brands event held on October 18th, where the focus was squarely on helping local kids and families in need.
The event’s spotlight was on 13-year-old Raven Vukich and her family, who shared their story of perseverance and gratitude. This local celebration followed an inspiring event in Denver, Colorado, earlier in the week, where the Vukich family served as the Miracle Family for the Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) auction.
At the CU4Kids Diamond Roundup auction in Denver, which was part of the annual MAXX conference, credit union leaders and partners raised an incredible $1.2 million for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals. Raven, alongside her younger brother Ramsden, stole the show with their cowboy hats and charming stage presence.
Raven’s story is one of strength and hope. Diagnosed with congenital heart disease at just 15 months old, she underwent life-saving open-heart surgery in 2019. Her parents, Jeremy and Melissa, recounted their journey during the Denver event, moving the audience to laughter and tears as they expressed how vital CMN and community support were to their family.
A few days later, the story came full circle at Fremont County’s Guns, Boots, and Brands event, where Raven’s story was once again front and center. The event not only celebrated Raven’s courageous journey but also raised funds to support local children and families facing similar challenges.
