On May 20th, 2026, during the National EMS week, Paramedic Taylor Collins was presented with the prestigious National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution’s Emergency Medical Services Commendation Medal.
The criteria for receiving this award are, “The Emergency Medical Services Commendation Medal is presented to an individual for accomplishments and/or outstanding contribution in an area of emergency medical services. The award is intended for paramedics and certified Emergency Medical Technicians and others in the emergency medical field who have performed an act or service beyond that normally expected.”’
Carol Harper, 2025 Stars of Life recipient and Administrative Assistant, Frontier Ambulance, wrote in the Public Service and Heroism request form, “Taylor is representative of exemplary conduct and character as a paramedic for Frontier Ambulance. He provides professional, quality care to his patients and has a calm, compassionate approach and presence.”
“Taylor treats every person with kindness, and his uplifting demeanor creates a positive atmosphere inthe station when interacting with his peers, as well as out in the field. With fellow responders. He has always been willing to pick up shifts and is helpful, reliable and dedicated. Taylor models expertise, genuine respect and consideration – all qualities that are invaluable in a profession and field that is demanding and challenging.”
We expect Taylor will continue to serve our community above and beyond the call of duty and wear this medal with appropriate pride and confidence.
