Each week, staff at Fort Washakie High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Shyla Washakie was nominated as the Fort Washakie High School student of the week by John Gookin.
Shyla is an enthusiastic learner and very dligent about classwork, lab chores and other responsibilities. She is also a Cheer Team student mentor. The coach Carol Ann Stingley said “Shyla is friendly, is willing to help individuals with cheers, helps at the away games by escorting them to the restroom and concessions. She is very respectful and is diligent with communicating with me. For instance, she stopped by to chat at 7:45 this morning regarding Cheer. She sends and responds to emails in a timely manner. She takes direction well. I am very happy to have her as a part of my team.”
