Volunteers of America Northern Rockies has welcomed a proclamation from Governor Mark Gordon declaring March 8, 2026, Volunteers of America Day in Wyoming. The proclamation honors the mission and impact of Volunteers of America as it marks the national organization’s 130th anniversary, and recognizes VOA Northern Rockies’ longstanding local service since 1985.
“For the people we serve, a single crisis can feel like the end of the road,” said Jeff Holsinger, CEO of Volunteers of America Northern Rockies. “We meet people where they are with wraparound care, and walk with them until they can stand on their own. That hope — and the people who give it — are what change lives.”
Across Wyoming, VOA Northern Rockies’ teams provide the practical, personal supports that change trajectories: a warm bed and safety in a crisis night; coordinated case management that connects people to healthcare, housing, and employment; recovery services that restore dignity; and long‑term supports that sustain independence. Those wraparound services — delivered without judgment and with deep respect — form a continuum of care that sees people through their most challenging times to a brighter, more stable future.
VOA Northern Rockies provides targeted, evidence‑based programs that keep people safe, housed, and connected to the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Services across the state include:
- Emergency and supportive housing and homelessness prevention
- Recovery and behavioral‑health treatment and crisis supports
- Veteran outreach, housing assistance, and reintegration services
- Community corrections and reentry programs that help people return to stable, productive lives
- Services for older adults and people with disabilities that preserve dignity and independence
