(Lander, WY) – A pair of Fremont County girls won in their respective weight divisions at a well-attended Tiger Invitational at Lander. Lander’s Elizabeth Gribowskas won at 145 pounds and Riverton’s Aleah Marquez continued an outstanding season taking gold at 235.
The Lady Titans of Thunder Ridge, Idaho, ran away with the team title, scoring 217 points, 95 ahead of second-place Pinedale.
Riverton’s Hailee Cooper was second at 100 pounds to Taylor Brown of Thunder Ridge. Lander’s Harlie Velarde was also second at 170 pounds.
Other county placers were Taylor Freeman of Lander in fourth at 105. Fellow Lady Tiger Kiera Big Knife was fifth at 115.
Riverton’s Autumn Osborne earned the bronze medal with a third at 130. Olivia Remacle of Wind River also placed at 130 with a fifth-place finish. Fellow Lady Cougar Keeley Walker was sixth at 135.
Juana Hines rounded out the Fremont County placers with a fourth for Wind River at 235.
The teams join a huge field converging on Riverton on Thursday for the girls’ bracket in the annual Ron Thon Memorial.
