(Riverton, WY) – City crews will be flushing fire hydrants across town on Wednesday through Friday, May 20th to the 22nd. They will begin on the east end of town and move west.
The preliminary schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday – East of Federal Boulevard
- Thursday – Federal Boulevard to 8th Street West
- Friday – 8th Street West to the West end of town
This is a semi-annual process intended to remove sediment from the water system and helps to determine the system condition.
Residents may have some discolored water and/or reduced/sporadic water pressure during this time. If discovered, please run cold water until this clears up. The water is still safe to use; caution should be used when doing laundry until the water runs clear again.
