(Fremont County, WY) – A Fish Creek Fire Operations crew will be cutting down large dead trees on Thursday, August 29, along US-26/287 (just east of the Fremont-Teton counties line at mileposts 27-31), according to a post shared on the WYDOT District 5 Facebook page
The trees are being removed as part of fire suppression efforts on Togwotee Pass between Dubois and Moran Junction, the post states, and the operation is scheduled to take place between 8 AM and 5 PM.
WYDOT maintenance will be handling traffic control with three men, and one man with a truck-mounted plow and pull broom for debris removal, so US-26/287 motorists should expect traffic delays during the operation.
The post also advises that US-26/287 continues to experience smoke and sometimes limited visibility.
