(Fremont County, WY) – A Level 2 chain law is in effect for portions of WY 28 South Pass roads for March 4, as of at least 10 AM, according to WYDOT/wyoroadinfo.com.
The chain law is in effect for roads “Between the Fremont/Sublette Cty Line and Atlantic City Rd” and “between Atlantic City Rd and Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate.”
Conditions are listed as “Slick, Drifted Snow with Snowfall, Fog, Blowing Snow, Limited Visibility” for much of the area.
WYDOT states that when conditions are extremely hazardous under a Level 2 Chain Law, “travel can be restricted to: vehicles equipped with tire chains or all-wheel-drive vehicles equipped with adequate mud and snow or all-weather-rated tires,” and that “commercial vehicles must have chains on at least two of the drive wheels at opposite ends of the same drive axle.”
