Fremont County recreators can rejoice this weekend – The Loop Road is open, partially at least.
The Shoshone National Forest and Sinks Canyon State Park both announced that Friday, June 7th the Loop Road will be open from the Bruce’s Bridge area to Worthen Meadows.
The rest of the Loop Road will be monitored throughout the next several days to access when it can be open to motorized vehicles.
While it varies year-to-year, the road above Lander typically opens in late May, but dense snowpack this year delayed the opening a few extra days.
