UPDATE: As of at least 1:50 PM, the roads have reopened.
(Fremont County, WY) – Portions of WY 28 roads in the South Pass area are currently closed to all travel for October 16 (as of at least 10:50 AM), due to winter conditions, according to WYDOT/wyoroad.info.
The closure is in effect for areas “Between the Fremont/Sublette Cty Line and Atlantic City Rd.” and “Between Atlantic City Rd and Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate.”
As of 10:35 AM this morning, WYDOT advised that the estimated opening time is unknown.
WYDOT reminds drivers that “parking on the roadway is prohibited and delays WYDOT from opening the road.”
